Robots!!!

Matt named his robot "Pillow Milo" (don't ask me where that came from....funny!)
I tell ya, little boys are so much fun! After Mallary goes to bed, we try to do something "special "with Matt, just the three of us. It is a great time for him to get that one-on-one attention that he really needs. The other night we decided to make a robot with him. We had so much fun and laughed a lot as we listened to each other talk like a robot. Fun, fun!!!

When the Wind Isn't Blowing a 100 Mph...

We play ALL day at the purple park! I'm tellin' ya, we get it in while we can around here!

Wee!

Sweet baby Mal Mal

Matt loves to make roads with his loader. He kept saying, "Mommy, my loader is working hard today!"

She wanted to climb up the slide so bad! It was cute seeing her try!

Matt took this picture...I was impressed!

I let him have the camera to snap a few pics, and he took this...

and this...

this one

and this one too!

Mallary loved playing with the rocks. She tried to eat a few, and quickly realized they weren't so tasty.

They play so good together...really!

The trees are starting to bud! Yippee!

Matt was so impressed with this airplane flying so low. He wanted me to snap a pic.

What a GORGEOUS day!

Matt has been going through a stage where he gets a little scared at night. The other night he was crying because he didn't want to sleep alone, so I went and laid down with him for a little while to calm his nerves. I was talking to him about how important it is to talk to God when he is afraid, and to ask God to take away his fears. We visited and prayed about it for a little while, and he said, "Mommy, is God in our house?" I wanted to say yes, but then I thought to a three year old he might think that God was hiding in his closet or under his bed or something. I said, "Well, He is in heaven with Jesus, but you can still talk to Him." He then said, "Does God have a car?" I said, "Well, maybe...if He does, I bet He has the coolest car ever...maybe a red one." Matt looked at me and said, "Nope, it's purple...with lots of glitter...and stripes." Oh my goodness! I thought that was so cute! I then told him that whenever he starts to get scared to think about God driving his cool purple car around heaven. He was totally fine after that. He slept soundly that night. Thank you God for sending down little blessings like this through our children.

Give Matt a shovel and some dirt, and he is one happy camper!

The kids playing in the dirt (This is at Hudson's granparents ranch house...beautiful place!)

Such a big girl!

Mal Mal

Hudson playing with Mallary. He was so sweet with her. He has a sister (Evy) that will turn 2 in May, so he is a pro at this big bro thing!

Matt crankin' up the helicopter

Matt and Daddy watching the helicopter take off

I can only take action shots of Matt these days. He will not look at the camera anymore. I think I take way too many pics of my kiddos :P

Sweet Hud giving us a thumbs up!

Girls can get messy too. Mallary loves to play with "boy toys" because that's all she has to play with!
Before we left Dallas we picked up cousin Hudson so he could come and stay with us for a few days. Hudson is Mark's nephew's son, so he is actually my GREAT nephew! Crazy, huh?!? Matt and Hud are good buddies and have so much fun playing together. Hudson has a little sister (Evy) that will turn 2 in May. We are looking forward to the day when we can bring her home with us too! It will be great watching them all play together! Here are some fun pictures of our time together.

10 months

-got her first big boo-boo (notice her right eye) :( She pulled the play kitchen down on her. I thought she would surely have a black eye, but luckily she just has a couple of scratches.

-is getting curly hair (notice the curls above her left ear)

-has 2 teeth (still)

-happiest little girl ever...so sweet!
This sweet little thing is 10 months old! I can't believe we will be planning her 1st birthday in a couple of months. It seems like yesterday that we celebrated Matt's 1st birthday, and now we are planning hers! Wow!

Anniversary Trip

Lobby area at the Adolphus....just beautiful!

When they brought us our dessert, they had written this on our plate.....so special!

Me and the love of my life!
Mark and I celebrated our 6th year of marriage! We spent a night out in Dallas, stayed at the Adolphus, and ate a spectacular meal at Papas Bros. Steakhouse. We had such a wonderful time. I am so thankful for these 6 blissful years, and I pray that God blesses us with many, many more!

Trimming Trees

Mark and I have been working on trimming trees so we can build our backyard fence. We (I say we....Mark cut and I hauled off branches) cut down two of our biggest Evergreens in the back. They were in pretty bad shape from an ice storm that hit a couple of years back. It was still sad to see them being cut down though. I am super excited to get this fence up! We are planning to move Matt's swing set to the back....that way I can watch him play out my kitchen window! Let the fence building begin!

Getting Big

Mallary has joined the "big kid car seat" club. We took a ride around town yesterday to try it out, and she looked so cute! She loved being able to watch the movie on the DVD player and look out the windows. I think she thought she was hot stuff! We decided to keep their car seats together because Matt loves holding her hand.... that just makes my heart smile. He loves his baby sister!

p.s. Mark picked her car seat out all by himself. I'm surprised he bought a pink one for her. I was thinking he would come home with a "gender neutral" one (he's not much in to pink). He came home and said, " I bought a pink princess car seat for our little princess." Awwwww... I think Daddy is wrapped!

When All Else Fails.....

Be Silly!
