Earth Hour "Schmearth" Hour.....

This is exactly how I feel about our so called "Earth Hour" we had the other day. Mark and I read this and had a really good laugh.....

The science-challenged and those old Gaia worshipers from the 60s have finally met and are at one. I have no need or compulsion to join them in their cult freak-show ceremony. Since climate change has been a permanent Earth-feature millions of years before man came on the scene and will continue to be front and center for years to come, there's really not one thing that man (or woman) can do to change climate-change but relax and enjoy it.

Since the new ice age (global cooling) did not materialize in the 70s as predicted, those old Gaia worshipers had to save face, so they proclaimed global warming was upon us with all kinds of disasters ahead. They now claim that the coldest winter that much of the US and the world has seen in decades was due to ... wait for it ... yes! Global Warming! However, they have begun to hedge their bets by slightly adjusting their position from ... Global Warming to Climate Change. They can't lose with that one because we all know it will.

I will join other sane humans and un-celebrate the pagan celebration by turning on every incandescent bulb in the house, turning on the lawn sprinklers, lighting the gas light and the barbecue pit, turning the AC down to 50°, washing a hot hot load of white things, turning on the big screen TV (with Bose sound turned all the way up), and go sit in my idling super-charged Pontiac and listen to my house vibrate to the direct current hum and sinusoidal waves of energy.
